Take a Peek into the Place Where Nightmares Are Born…

Horror stories, no matter how short, always carry a warning at their core. Granted, most of the time the warning seems to be along the lines of ‘don’t go camping’ or ‘check Trip Advisor before checking into an isolated hotel in a foreign country’.

But honestly, the second one should go without saying. Do your research, make sure to tell someone where you are.

And if you’re arguing with me right now—Google H. H. Holmes.

The three shorts contained in this volume offer very different warnings. Gilson Road Cemetery reminds you to watch where you venture; because you’re never quite sure who or what might take an interest in you. In Carnival of You, I see a perfect example of why you should be mindful of what you do, and who you do it to. Because it will always come back around to you in some form or another. And Sweet Dreams (a wonderful story written by a talented author whose name escapes me at the moment) warns of the dangers of letting your emotions devour you.

So curl up, dim the lights, and listen to some nagging hidden deep within a cluster of chills and thrills.
