A Collection to Send Shivers Down Your Spine…

There’s a fine line between collection and obsession.

Everyone has that one thing that they just can’t resist. Sometimes, we yearn for our collection-drug of choice to the point that common sense has to take a backseat.

Looking back as a reasonable adult, I realize that it would have been embarrassingly easy to kidnap child-me. Even today, there’s a risk that I’ll still bite for that particular lure. And I’m not the only one who gets blinded by desire.

Ron Ripley brings us two tales of terror in this edition of Short Horror Stories. Firstly, in Early Medicine, a collector with his eye on antique prosthetics is faced with the history of his prized possessions. Then, in Ex Machina, a man’s fascination with old technology brings new dangers into his home. David Longhorn rounds off our collection with Dueling Frogs, a story of some people’s obsession with money clashing with a man’s yearning to expand his collection.

We all love to collect something. The problem is, we don’t always know what we’re getting.
