There was a girl. She was a cheerful person, and was often surrounded by a lot of friends at her elementary school. Again, she was her grandfather’s favorite, so the grandfather loved her very much.
However, the grandfather got hospitalized one day, and was nearing his death.
The doctor told about the limited life of the grandfather, and the girl went to the hospital to see him with her parents.

The parents, after talking with the grandfather, went out of the room to speak with the doctor.

The girl and the grandfather were the only people in the room.
The girl told told about her school and other interesting things to the grandfather.
But, she started crying in between.

“Will you really die?”, she asked.

Grandfather replied, “When I die, are you going to mourn for me together with your parents?”

The girl murmured , “Yes, … but I don’t want you to die.”
After that, the girl returned to her house. The next day, the grandfather passed away.
The girl cried very much that day.

One month later, a certain article appeared in the corner of a newspaper.
An excerpt from it:
“Family suicide, motive still unknown. The girl’s name is Seifuji Kana.”
